Hello to everybody,my name is Ciro,I'm an Italian modeler, first of all  apologize for the English language, from what I can see the site is all in French language,so,sorry for this.
I've also note a section for modelers but I haven't found what I need.
I've some questions for you about the Leclerc.Probably some of you know the tamiya kit dedicated to Lecler.I want to depict a tank when it's still in the factory lines when it only needs the final touches.
The basic idea is to show it with side bins open, dust cover on the main gun not fixed yet and  details like these.
I try to show you better what I mean with pictures and what I'm looking for.
If the side bins contains items...can you explain me their use and what they are?!
Pictures, links or photos would be great but also explanations are of a great support, intersting would be to have pictures of the tank in the assembly lines...I'm NOT looking for interior pics or systems or area where there are sensible device.

Please if this isn't right forum remove or put it in the right zone.
Regards from Italy

I havn't any photos of the dust cover removed.
But there are in the website of the leclerc photos of the storage bins.
For the welds they look so different but the photos had been taken at different time of the day, plus the colors of those two tanks are not the same so the contrast is not the same as well.

oh...thank you!for two reasons.One..the reply...the second for the same reply in English.Thank you for that!
I've just thinked about the different conditions of time-weather-contrast (about weld lines)but cause I'm not so familiar with this tank I've asked there :-).
Can you provide me a link to the photos of side bins!?there are a lot of photos on the site.A clue will be appreciate.
I've found also a video on youtube about the main gun without dust cover. It's "simply" a "tube",well...it's only few second but it's sufficient for me.However if someone has details...they are welcome!

For the video you talked, that was a prototype version of the Leclerc but I guess that there is no big diferences. It's not more complex that a leopard or other modern tanks such as XK2, etc ...

Many thanks! That's exactly what I'm looking for!!!
Well,I can say the inside the bins there are more or less the same equip that you can found around a leo..but they are better positioned. It's a very nice and pratical solution I suppose.
Thank you DarkLabor, those photos are great.I like very much the look of Leclerc I think also that it's a good tank, but I'm not an expert to say more about this. From the point of view of a modeler it's a cool subject especially in white camo(opex finul)..and it can be depicted very well.
Thank you again for the reply.
If someone has the last photos of the main gun without dust cover please post it!As you said probably it's not so different from the prototype but who knows?!
Warmest regards

The gun without the dust cover is the same on all type of leclerc ( prototype and serial MBT ).And you are right,it's a "simple" tube.

Thank you Arma51,I appreciate your help. Also a big thank you to DarkLabor for the photos.I wish you two a nice day!!
Warmest Regards
Ciro Riccio.

Ah...just a pure curiosity...Has the Leclerc an alternative or experimental camo over the French Tri-tonal or the two tonal camo of the UAE?!I also know white camo for finul opex.

Not really, except during operations in kosovo, they put white stripes (on the conventional camo) with washable paint to reduce the contrast between the woodland camo and the snow.

thank you!I've never seen this type of camo on Leclerc, but I suppose it has an old story,Germans and Russian did this on their tank on WW2,I think it's the same concept.I've asked this cause I've seen on the net some photos with prototyes(it was 2005 and the "future tank" was intented for 2015) paintend in urban camo,a thing that is more close to the digital camo on the actual uniform(where it's in use).
I post a photo,sure here it's just discussed here.

Thank you for the reply...I'm learning a lot about this beauty.

Hi,
This is an old concept of a mid-age modernisation. Target is effectively 2015 and no one knows what it will really look like.

Il est clair. Merci otto. J'ai pensé aussi que peu probablement tous les commandants des chars Leclerc sont des blondes à longues jambes dans les jupes courtes.
